Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting and advising the programme management and engineers on the full range of QA issues involved with requirements analysis, design reviews, process evaluation, end of phase reviews, acceptance etc.
To ensure defined methodologies, processes and procedures are adhered to , and that the delivered products satisfy Customer requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day activities of the Quality Engineering team by defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive testing strategy.
* Define test strategies and test case plans for Quality Engineering testing activities in concert with development and program management effort.
* Develop and execute automation testing strategy and processes.
* hands-on experience designing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems including test automation, test harnesses, and test plan repositories.
* Drive and manage the bug triage process, represent Quality Engineering in project meetings to ensure efficient testing and bug fixing process, and be an effective advocate for the Quality Engineering group.
* Report on status of product quality to development and product teams via rigorous execution of detailed test plans/cases and accurate reporting of test cases executed, bugs discovered, bugs fixed, etc.
Skills / Attributes Required:
* Proven track record of delivering high quality enterprise products.
* Should have Lead Functional QA team of at least 5-6 team size for multiple releases.
* Solid knowledge of QA automation tools and technologies e.g. Code Coverage/profiling tools, Test management systems etc.
* Deep background in functional, performance, security and Integration testing of enterprise server products.
* Extensive Programming knowledge in Java/.Net and writing automation scripts.
* Visionary / thought leader regarding QA and operational excellence.
* Great verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in computer science or Equivalent.
Experience:5 – 9 years of software quality engineering experience.
